The Augmented Reality City of Aurora is an interactive, city-wide experience that transforms key locations into living story hubs.
By using your mobile device, visitors and residents will be able to unlock digital layers of art, history, culture, and education that appear right
on top of familiar streets, buildings, and public spaces.

In partnership with local creatives, educators, youth programs, and community organizations, the project will highlight the voices and stories that
define Aurora — past, present, and future. From interactive murals and 3D characters to audio narratives and mini-games, every AR moment is designed to
inspire curiosity, pride, and connection.

How It Will Work

Once launched, visitors will be able to download a free mobile app or scan QR codes placed around the city. As you move through Aurora, designated
“AR Zones” will allow your device to recognize murals, buildings, signs, or special markers and instantly overlay digital content, animations, and
interactive stories onto the real world.
